Rough Carpenter

Job summary:

Formwork Foundations, a leading construction company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Rough Carpenter to join our team. As a Rough Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures on construction projects. Your expertise in formwork foundations will be instrumental in ensuring the structural integrity of buildings. Qualifying candidates must have the following:

– Proven experience working as a Rough Carpenter, preferably with a specialization in formwork foundations.

– In-depth knowledge of construction materials, tools, and techniques related to rough carpentry.

– Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

– Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively

– Strong mathematical and measurement skills to accurately cut and shape building materials.

– Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on project requirements.

– Excellent problem-solving skills to address construction challenges and obstacles.

– Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.

– Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in all carpentry tasks.

– Commitment to safety and following established protocols

– Excellent communication and teamwork skills

– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

– Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, ear plugs.

Duties that you will be required to perform on a day to day basis are:

– Interpret and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.

– Assemble and install formwork systems, ensuring they are sturdy, level, and aligned correctly

– Accurately measure, cut, and shape building materials, such as lumber, lightweight steel, and other types of materials.

– Repair and replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures as needed.

– Collaborate with other construction team members, such as contractors, architects, and engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.

– Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

– Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment, including power saws, drills, and measuring devices.

– Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment

Schedule:

– 10 hour shift

– 8 hour shift

– Day shift

– Monday to Friday

– Weekends as needed

Supplemental Pay Types:
