Foundation Form Worker
Job summary:
As a Foundation Form Worker, you will be responsible for constructing various types of foundation formwork accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with our team of construction professionals to ensure the proper installation of formwork systems, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement. Attention to detail, precision, and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.
Qualifying candidates must have the following:
– Previous experience in concrete formwork and foundation construction is preferred.
– Previous experiences with various tools such as concrete vibrators, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, grinding machines, air compressors, nail guns, drills, and sledgehammers are preferred.
– Strong understanding of construction principles and ability to interpret blueprints and construction plans.
– Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in formwork construction.
– Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
– Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
– Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, gloves and ear plugs.
Duties that you will be required to perform on a day to day basis are:
– Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
– Measure and mark layout for formwork installation, adhering to architectural and engineering specifications.
– Construct and set up scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, barricades and formwork systems for concrete foundations, walls, columns, and slabs.
– Install and secure reinforcing steel bars according to project requirements.
– Pour, spread, and level concrete using various tools and equipment.
– Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools and power tools.
– Remove formwork after concrete has cured and clean up the construction site.
– Perform regular maintenance and repairs on formwork equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
– Clean and pile salvaged materials.
– Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
– Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Schedule:
– 10 hour shift
– 8 hour shift
– Day shift
– Monday to Friday
– Weekends as needed
